Resting Grinch Face

Resting Grinch Face

A spin a tasty Tequila Martinez to enjoy with some festive flavours, down south. During the holidays we love the flavour of sorrel (hibiscus with spices). The flavour works wonderfully – it’s rich, slightly acidic, almost a plummy-wine type feel. Hope you enjoy this – and please do show us your “resting grinch face” (so we’re clear, that’s a grin while grabbing the drink).

Ingredients:
1.50 oz | 45 ml Don Julio Tequila Reposado
0.50 oz | 15 ml sorrel liqueur (or black currant)
0.75 oz | 20 ml fino sherry
0.25 oz | 10 ml simple syrup 1:1
2 dashes Bittered Sling Kensington Aromatic Bitters
Orange cheek, for garnish.

Add the Tequila, liqueur, sherry, sweetener and bitters to a mixing glass with ice. Stir until chilled and diluted – about 15 rotations. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and finish by expressing the oils from an orange cheek and drop into the glass.
