The tannic and floral notes of Earl Grey tea meet the botanicals of Tanqeray 10 in this delicious riff on the classic build for a Singapore Sling.
1.50 oz Tanqueray 10 Gin, infused with Earl Grey Tea*
0.50 oz Yellow Chartreuse
0.75 oz Lemon Juice
1.00 oz Lavender Syrup (1:1)
2 dashes Bittered Sling Orange & Juniper Bitters
Top with Sparkling Water
Shake all ingredients except the sparkling water, strain into a collins glass over fresh ice. Top with sparkling, swizzle and garnish with a long flap of orange peel, expressing oils over the glass and cocktail, and inserting the peel down the side of the glass. Serve with a straw.
*Earl Grey Tea Gin:
Add 7 tsp of highest quality black Earl Grey tea to a 1L mason jar, add a 750mL bottle of Tanqueray 10 Gin. Allow to steep for 3 hours (not longer) and strain. Use gin as required.
