with award-winning bitters perfect for stocking stuffers!
VANCOUVER, BC (November 24, 2016) — Vancouver-based Bittered Sling Bitters has unveiled a fresh and exciting new design for its latest iteration of the award-winning line of cocktail and culinary bitters. Bittered Sling continues to provide the food and beverage community with innovative and creative flavours, with the release its new Bittered Sling Gift Pack 3.0.
“With the release of the new gift pack, we are able to provide consumers with the concentrated Bittered Sling flavours they’ve come to love, in a slightly different format. We have moved the gift pack flavours away from the glass droppers, and offer the dasher tops instead. The savings we are able to pass on to the consumer with the bottle adjustment, have allowed us to offer an addition 5mL for each flavour without increasing the price,” says Bittered Sling co-founder Jonathan Chovancek.
While Bittered Sling’s Gift Pack 3.0 will be the first to sport the company’s new small format bottle designs, the line-up of expressions throughout the Bittered Sling 120mL portfolio will remain as glass eye-droppers. Beyond the new design elements of the Gift Pack 3.0, the collection has also increased the volume format to 30mL per flavour – up from 25mL in 2014 – and includes Kensington Dry Aromatic and Malagasy Chocolate — both of which garnered gold medals at the Beverage Tasting Institute’s 2014 International Review of Spirits in Chicago —Lem-Marrakech, Moondog, Grapefruit & Hops and Plum & Rootbeer in the gift pack. The latter two flavours also scored silver medals for Bittered Sling at the 2014 International Review of Spirits. The New Gift pack also boasts new cocktail recipes inside the pack, featuring Reserve Brand Spirits.
“The line-up of bitters has made room for the ever-popular Lem-Marrakech – roasted Moroccan lemon and spice bitters – in place of the Orange & Juniper, which will be revealed in a new project in the coming months,” says Bittered Sling co-founder and award-winning bartender Lauren Mote.
Continuing to evolve in the pursuit of excellence, the Bittered Sling lineup will boast a number of improvements. The new colour-coding design scheme of each bottle will make for easier identification for professional and amateur bartenders and chefs, and helpful tips on each label, with pairing suggestions and accurate tasting note descriptions.
The new Bittered Sling Gift Pack 3.0 will appear in stores across North America this holiday season. For a complete list of retailers, visit www.bitteredsling.com/find-us/retail.
